Greetings! I would like to let you know a little about Pony Be Goods home baked horse treats. They are made with all natural ingredients and have no preservatives. Commercial products are typically loaded with preservatives to extend their shelf life. Although preservatives do extend the shelf life and helps keep bacteria from growing, the preservatives themselves are unhealthy. 

 
Pony Be Goods has adapted a more natural method of preserving horse treats. By making products in small batches that can be used up in a short period of time we have eliminated the need for chemical preservatives (you can always order larger quantities and store them in the freezer until you are ready to use them). We also use a dry baking method so that most of the moisture is baked out of the treats, extending their shelf life. The treats have a hard biscuit texture, but all the taste remains so your horse is sure to enjoy them! 

 
How to get the most shelf life:

Our methods should help create a decently long shelf life for our products that can range from one to five months depending on how and where they are stored. Here are some methods to help make sure you get the most out of your product:

• Direct sunlight, heat, moisture, air/oxygen are harmful to your product
• Store your product in a cool, dark, dry place
• Ensure that when you re-seal your procuct it is air tight
